International Sign Language Day at Forum Kochi

Promoting Inclusion, Accessibility and Equal Participation

Forum Kochi commemorated International Sign Language Day in association with the Mind Empowered Community and Father Vicini's School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. The celebration provided a platform for more than 100 students and alumni to showcase their talents through performances, highlighting the importance of inclusion, accessibility, and equal participation.

As part of the initiative, a sign language workshop was conducted for Forum Kochi staff a week before the main event. The workshop aimed to encourage better communication and understanding when interacting with the deaf and hard-of-hearing community. Through this meaningful initiative, Forum Kochi reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a more inclusive, accessible, and welcoming environment for every visitor.
