Forum Junior Chef Champ’18
Budding young chefs across south India sharpened their knives as they honed their culinary skills for Forum Junior Chef Champ competition at Forum Centre City, Mysuru. More than 100 kids competed in the preliminary round in both the categories – category-1 (7 to 10 years) and category-2 (11 to 15 years) showcasing their talent in cooking. Among them, 30 kids battled ahead to the grand finale to emblaze their creativity and innovation in culinary giving a run for the top chefs.
The event was graced by the presence of honourable executive chef Mr. Anil from Grand Mercure. He gave many valuable tips to the kids and at the end of the show he unveiled the surprise element. i.e. every winner was awarded with an opportunity of working alongside some great chefs in their facility for 5 days. Every kid gave their best shot and almost all the delicacies were mouth-watering providing a tough challenge for the Judge to choose the best from the best.
The scoring was done on 4 parameters including taste, creativity, originality and presentation. The highlight of the event was the kids had no clue on what the ingredients would be and everything was a mystery until last moment. It was amazing to see impromptu kids performing like an ace.
The winners were awarded with trophies and exciting goodies. Though it was a platform for kids to showcase their talent, this event was even more special as it bridged the bonding between the kids, parents and Forum Centre City. There are many such events in store at Forum Centre City aiming at emotionally connecting with the society and to expose the talent that’s flowing in the veins of Mysore.
