Forum Fiza mall organized second edition of “Forum Purple Run” in association with Poorvika mobiles, S L Shet Jewellers & Diamonds, Sangeetha Mobiles & M S Sportswear on 30th September 2018. This was the biggest Half marathon in Mangaluru to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s.
Alzheimer’s is the 5th leading cause of death in people over 55 years old, and in India, more than 4 million people suffer from some form of dementia. More than 90% of are at the risk of being diagnosed with this disease. Despite this, there’s a stigma attached to mental illness amongst us.
“Forum Purple Run” mission was to raise awareness about the Alzheimer’s. FORUM Purple Run offered the running distances of 3 km (Fun Run), 5 km, 10 km and the half marathon distance of 21km & won prizes worth Rs 2.7 lakhs.
